April 5, 2025
On 5th April 2025, GYNZ led a group of youth volunteers to participate in the Hamilton City Council Water Treatment System event.
The group observed the entire purification process and equipment used for Hamilton's 5‑A‑grade water source. The event featured a lively and engaging atmosphere, with fun water‑related interactive games, eco‑friendly photo‑checkpoint stations, and staff dressed in creative plant‑themed costumes, immersing young participants in the message of water ecosystem protection. Youth volunteers took part in various hands‑on activities, closely observing the complete purification process of Hamilton's high‑quality 5‑A‑grade water. They gained a detailed understanding of core water treatment principles, the operation of specialized equipment, and local water resource management practices. Through interactive and playful learning, the participants came to appreciate the critical importance of water treatment systems for urban life, deepened their understanding of the necessity of water resource protection, and developed a sense of responsibility in water conservation and safeguarding the water environment. This practical science outreach activity enabled young people to step outside the classroom and learn about environmental protection in real‑world settings, effectively broadening their horizons and fostering eco‑friendly public welfare values — while showcasing the energy and commitment of GYNZ's youth volunteer force.
