As part of this international youth sports exchange initiative, the GYNZ volunteer team actively assisted the visiting squad with a range of support services, including logistical coordination, on-site event assistance, and cultural hospitality. These efforts helped ensure that the young athletes were able to compete smoothly and enjoy a positive overall experience during their stay in New Zealand. This collaboration provided a valuable platform for youth sporting exchange between China and New Zealand, further strengthening cross-cultural understanding and international friendship. Through genuine participation in competitive sport, the young athletes were able to engage with peers on the field while also building meaningful connections off the field. For the GYNZ volunteer team, the experience was equally meaningful and rewarding. Working closely within an international tournament environment allowed volunteers to witness first-hand the dedication, teamwork, and sporting spirit of young athletes from different countries. It also reinforced GYNZ’s mission of using sport as a powerful platform to promote youth development, cultural exchange, and community engagement.
